Experience

Philadelphia Eagles

From Training Camp to the NFL Playoffs, my experience working with my hometown team has provided me with many amazing opportunities, valuable life and industry lessons, and lifelong memories. As the team’s Editorial Associate for the 2023 season, I create, write, and edit daily editorial content for the Eagles’ digital platforms and Gameday Magazine. As well as covering the team as an in-house reporter, I work behind the scenes to maintain Philadelphiaeagles.com and enhance the app experience for all of its users. This role has allowed me to fully immerse myself in the fast-paced NFL landscape. I have been able to collaborate with all facets of the organization to elevate the brand and learn the inner workings of a professional sports franchise. The countless opportunities that arise everyday have helped continue to shape me as a young professional.

WHIP Sports

My venture into sports media started well before I stepped foot on Temple’s campus in August of 2019. During a tour of the university the year before, I was introduced to the sports department at Temple’s student radio station (WHIP Sports) and immediately knew that was the place for me. I started as a beat writer for the Men’s Soccer team before earning that same role for the Men’s Basketball team halfway through my first semester. Eventually, I made my mark as an on-air personality, hosting numerous weekly radio shows, and a Philadelphia sports podcast, and calling soccer and basketball games as a play-by-play announcer. My work ethic and passion for the organization led to Sports Director positions as a junior and senior. I saw tremendous growth in myself as a person and professional as I paved my path in the industry throughout four years at Temple.

Perfect Game USA

Following my sophomore year at Temple in 2021, I acquired my first internship, working as a social media assistant for Perfect Game USA in Voorhees, New Jersey. Perfect Game is the world’s largest baseball scouting service. In my three-month summer internship, I worked alongside the social media manager to oversee and create content for all of Perfect Game’s social accounts, with a specific focus on the Mid-Atlantic Regional accounts. One of my biggest tasks in my role was to create and post audiogram graphics on Twitter to promote podcasts and radio shows, something that the organization continued to use after I introduced the concept to my peers. Being able to work in an office while connecting with other interns across the country was a breath of fresh air after going through a global pandemic. The internship also allowed me to travel to youth baseball tournaments across the Mid-Atlantic, capturing pictures and video content using a Canon Rebel T7 camera.

Philadelphia Soccer Now

Working as a freelance writer for Philadelphia Soccer Now gave me the chance to revisit where my athletic and journalism careers began - soccer. During the final semester of my senior year, the opportunity to cover the Philadelphia Union II came about thanks to my time working with the Temple Men’s Soccer team. Sitting in the press box at Subaru Park, a stadium I have been going to as a fan since it opened in 2010, was a rewarding feeling. In my time with the local Philadelphia soccer blog, I wrote and edited game recaps and live-tweeted matches on the Philadelphia Soccer Now Twitter. This helped me get consistent reps as a writer and allowed me to work on my craft.

NFL Alumni Association

Interning with the NFL Alumni Association in the summer of 2022 gave me my first taste of working in the NFL world. The NFL Alumni Association is the oldest, most well-known, and well-respected retired player organization in professional sports. As a social media and communications intern for the non-profit organization, my job was to create, schedule, and manage social media content for all NFLA platforms, design graphics, ideate content series, and collect and analyze social media and email communication metrics. Gathering analytics for NFLA gave me the opportunity to expand my arsenal of industry skills as well as determine what the organization was doing well and how we could improve. Working in an office allowed me to easily collaborate with my manager and connect with other employees to learn about their roles and help them in any way.

TUICE Network

While covering Temple Athletics for WHIP Sports, I also joined the TUICE Network, a student-run media organization that covered the university’s club ice hockey team. As a former hockey player, I felt right at home using my vast knowledge of the sport to broadcast games. In 2021, I was a color commentator for the Flyers Cup, a high school tournament hosted by the Philadelphia Flyers. Having played in the tournament twice, I was able to understand the magnitude of the games, portraying that in my commentary to over five thousand viewers on the official Flyers Cup YouTube page. During the second semester of my junior year, I called a Temple vs. Navy game with TUICE Network as part of an assignment for my play-by-play broadcasting class taught by legendary NBA broadcaster Marc Zumoff. Learning how to set up hi-tech broadcasting equipment and interacting with the local hockey community were bonuses to my time with TUICE.
